Objectives

  • Coordination of work and consequent achievement of all of the specific objectives. Its goals are to ensure synergy among partners, common time schedule, comparability and synthesis of their work
  • Maintain financial flows, securing efficient budget execution in all partners
  • Build National Networks of experts and child welfare services to all of the participating countries


 

Description of work

The tasks of this WP are to coordinate the work included in WPs 2 through 8, as well as to coordinate the building of the National and Balkan Networks.
 
- Detailed work plans and timetables for each WP will be developed by the Coordinator and will be further elaborated and fine-tuned during the 1st Meeting (M1). They will serve as the basis for co-ordination of actions, feedback of common understanding of tasks by all partners
- Regular short reports, submitted twice a year by each of the partners, will serve as a feedback of efficiency of work and project progress in all partner countries
- Five Managerial Meetings will be held
M1.
“Kick-off” meeting, preliminary discussion on the methodology of translation/validation, the building of the Network 
M2.
Meeting on harmonization of questionnaires and methodologies employed after translation and cultural validation processes are done
M3.
Meeting to discuss findings of pilot studies in all participant countries, to adjust to potential shortcomings etc
M4.
Meeting to exchange experiences and compare difficulties of the core study
M5.
Final dissemination and evaluation Meeting
- Teleconferences will be held, as needed, in order to keep partners in touch, to keep up firmly with time schedule and address unforeseen issues, especially between meetings that occur with relatively big intervals. Such times are the 6th, the 12th, the 20th and the 30th Month of the project.
- A portal will be developed in the project’s site, which will facilitate the communication among partners and members of the networks.
- Two Interim and Final Reports will be edited by the coordinator on the basis of information provided by the partners.
- Securing budget execution in respect to: a) BECAN objectives and b) EU legislation.
- Crisis resolution in case of risk occurring.

National and Balkan Network Building

- Each partner will conduct a literature review and provide a short report (R1) describing for his/her country:
- The CAN situation (e.g. articles, data from National Reports, gray data, etc)
- A list of all existing child protection services or other CAN related organizations and experts (with contact details for each one)
- A list of all existing (governmental and non-governmental)child services (welfare, social health, legal) that could function as sources of information on reported/detected cases of CAN for WP4; namely, organizations that maintain databases and/or archives with reported/detected cases of CAN, and a list of the recorded variables for each of them.
- The educational system (structure of educational system, years of obligatory education, number of pupils and drop-out rates etc.) Each partner will try to establish cooperation with the identified organizations and experts and will have the responsibility for the management of the National Network and the flow of information between them and their network while the responsibility for the whole Balkan Network will belong to the Project Coordinator.
