Objectives
- Provide the scientific and strategic basis for annual evaluation of CAN issues in each Balkan partner country
- Provide an open forum for continuing discussion on CAN issues for interested parties and the public
Description of work
- In the context of the WP4, an appropriate protocol and a database for registering cases of CAN according to commonly agreed classification criteria will be created. Researchers from each national team will demonstrate the use of the protocol and database to national statistical and child protection services. Through this protocol, the consortium will obtain already registered cases of CAN in Balkan countries and record them in the database in a unified manner; as a consequence of this process, relevant national services will be able to continue following up at CAN’s national levels even after the end of the present project. Protocol and database delivered on the 13th month, in the context of WP4.
- Each national partner will provide to relevant national authorities information on the national network created for the aims of the project, as well as a strategic plan for the construction of an annual national evaluation of CAN issues. The annual national evaluation will aim at:
- following up on the rates and characteristics of CAN in 9 Balkan countries;
- creating a basis for future assessments of the effectiveness and efficiency of any intervention (preventive, legal, etc.) for CAN
- Maintain, after the completion of the project, the project’s website (and portal) in order to sustain and promote discussion on CAN issues among national networks, and in order to inform the public on relevant issues.
