1. The Coordinator along with partners will define:
o the criteria of classification of CAN cases, the information that will be searched (indicators), as well as techniques to avoid double-counting
o the criteria for selecting among identified child services which will constitute the source of such information reported/detected (based on the inventories created in WP1)
2. A protocol for extracting information from the archives along with an extraction form that will be used for recording the identified cases of CAN will be developed
3. Each partner will systematically examine the archives of existing child services (welfare, social health, legal) previously identified for reported and detected cases of child abuse and neglect and record identified cases in the Extraction Form.
4. Each partner will also try to obtain access to the established databases of CAN, or to obtain the required information for their country
5. Coding, screening of data and statistical analysis. Coding, screening, and analysis of extracted data will follow the same steps and methodology as those described for the epidemiological study (WP3)
6. Report of data analysis. Each partner will compile a report of their county’s results.
